I enjoy working on professional creative projects, but I also think it’s important to stay creative personally. That’s why I put together this short film in my free time about the classic surf movie Big Wednesday.

New funds have allowed the organization to increase access to trips, services, and staff for people who are blind and visually impaired, as well as deaf and hard of hearing.

Mni Sota Fund’s mission is to promote home ownership, entrepreneurship, and financial wellness throughout the Indigenous community in Minnesota. With support from a Racial and Economic Justice grant, this native CDFI is supporting small business owners like Kari Tribble as they pursue their dreams. When it became clear that there was no plan for preserving the plywood murals made by protesters and mourners in the wake of George Floyd’s murder, Leesa Kelly took on the responsibility of collecting as many as she could. Watch this story and see how the Minneapolis Foundation supported Memorialize the Movement, the organization she started, so that the Black and Brown stories told through the murals would not be lost.

Omicron Boule' is a local chapter of our nation’s oldest Greek-letter fraternity for African American professionals. Its Woodson M. Fountain scholarship—named in honor of the first African American pilot hired by Northwest Airlines—supports African American men in the Twin Cities.
